Our COVID-19 Safety Measures

Schroeder Design/Build is taking safety very seriously during this COVID-19 pandemic. We are instituting strict policies for our team members to ensure the safety of both our clients and our staff.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has issued its list of recommendations for COVID-19 Basic Infection Prevention Measures, and we've added a few of our own.

Here are some of the safety measures we've put in place:
  • Stay home if sick
  • Wear a face mask at all times
  • Wash hands frequently or use an alcohol-based hand run containing at least 60% alcohol
  • Maintain 6 feet between each worker as much as possible
  • Reduce the group size at one time to fewer than 10 people
  • Limit in-person meetings; use online meeting platforms whenever possible
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Minimize ride-sharing; provide adequate ventilation within vehicle
  • Avoid sharing tools with co-workers
  • Clean and disinfect frequently-used tools, equipment, and frequently-touched surfaces (door handles, handrails, machinery controls, cell phones, tablets, etc.) regularly
  • If N95 respiration masks are not available, minimize dust and airborne contaminants by using engineering and work practice controls
  • Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when cleaning and disinfecting, such as gloves and eye protection
  • Install plastic sheeting to isolate construction areas from living areas
  • Notify supervisor if you have come into contact with an infected person, and self-quarantine
